02 supercrew intermitent a/c at highway speeds

My a/c just started having an issue at highway speeds. It will be working fine and all of a sudden it blows warm air. If you shut off the a/c for a little while and then put it back on it blows cold again. There seems to be no rhyme reason for it. My scan guage says the temp is holding steady at 190 to 200 degrees. I bought a freon kit with a guage and it says I have enough freon in the system. I had a problem last summer with no cold air at idle and it was a dirty condensor. That problem is fixed now. Any ideas?

Check for excessive clutch gap. Very common.
