dorman bypass pulley help

my ac compressor crapped out, luckly the belt is still good. it didn't go out while driving. i turned it off, and tried to start the truck and it wouldn't crank. ive been expecting this for a while. anyways. when i install the bypass pulley, what do i do with the ac lines? do i plug them up, or just leave them hanging? im not planning on ripping the whole system out. this is just a temporary fix to drive my truck.

Plug them up. Any dirt/dust or crap that gets inside the lines will get inside your A/C system and new compressor and possibly ruin a lot more.
