how to disconnect ac compressor!

how to disconnect ac compressor!

I am trying to disconnect my ac compressor, because it burnt up. I want to leave it unplugged til i get it fixed. i tried so many times to disconnect the wire going to it by the passenger side tire. but i couldnt seem to find any tabs or anything to release it.

any help?

98 F150 4.6 btw.

If you just want to disable the clutch, disconnect the connector at the pressure cycling switch at the accumulator.

You just take a small screwdriver and pull the tab(s) away from the connector that lock to hold the connector on. It will then just pull straight off. I dont have a picture of one to describe it better.
