Mouse house blocking defrost vents ...
Hi guys,
I haven't been on this site for awhile as the '99 SCAB is running pretty darn good for having over 206k on the od. Problem I've been having and I "should" have taken care of this during the Summer, but I had more important things to do.
Apparently, sometime "last" Winter a mouse or its whole family decided to take up residence in the heater of the truck.
I have "no" dead mouse smell, but I do have the remnants of where they lived and this is causing a problem as I'm not getting much air out of the defrost vents and this is causing troubles for me now that the cold temps are coming back.
Try as I might, I cannot defrost the windshield via A/C or heat. Now, I've looked in to the "how-to articles" and I've not found any help, and without having to go through 56 pages of HVAC issues can someone tell me if I have to pull the dash to take care of this issue? Can I start at the bottom pulling off the heater cover and see if there is a house there?
I apologize for this being so durn wordy, but I had to explain the problem. I would most certainly appreciate ANY and ALL information or suggestions, short of placing mouse traps or a cat in my truck over the winter.
Thank you in advance.
Luggy
