Intermittent Cold A/C at startup

Another guy with issues with cold a/c at idle. Ive been reading numerous threads about guys having issues with a/c at idle. I bought my 05 Screw back in late '09. Last summer and this spring Ive noticed that when I start up the truck, turn the a/c on to cool the truck, it feels like nothing but hot humid air... even after a few minutes sitting. Start driving down the road, and it begins too cool. Its really hit or miss. Ive read that some guys have had issues with the fan clutch. I have noticed that ever since Ive had my truck when I start it up cold, Ive never heard the roar of the fan for a few seconds like other trucks Ive had with a fan clutch. I'm leaning towards the fan clutch, but not 100% sure. Any input would be helpful.

a/c clutch

your problem sounds like the clutch on your compressor is the problem...not the clutch on your engine fan. when you start it up and it is not cooling at idle, check and see if the a/c compressor is turning...if not carefully tap on it and see if it kicks in.. if so that is your problem....might have too much gap...
