AC doesnt blow cold

the AC in my 04 does not blow cold. it was fine and after an offroad trip the cold stopped working. it still blows heat and this happened in the winter so i thought id deal with it now

when its on cold it blows warm (guessing engine bay temp) and when its on heat it blows hot fine.

does anyone know what i would need to replace or what is causing this?

Check the static pressure in the system with a gauge.

I had this happen to me last year and it was a small vacuum line under the passenger dash compartment.

I was freaking out because i LOVED my AC in the summer and one day working outside, POOF, it was gone. I was very happy to find it was something that silly.

i am in the same boat, I have a 2004 F-150 Herritage...... someone told me to jump the pressure sensor and see if the compressor came on but mine did not. I too want to know about this vac line, is it behind the glove box or where. maybe a pic ?

thanks

No, the line was clear. It plugged right in to a small fitting. I think someone must have hit it with their foot some how. I just tucked it back under the passenger compartment and have had no problems again.

This was on a 99 F250 though..
