Several A/C and Heat problems

I did some digging in the history and current posts but couldn't find anything that matched my issue.

I have an 07 Screw FX4. About a year ago my A/C stopped working. I had air but it never cooled down. Found it to be a bad compressor and my A/C worked fine. Now it's not working again. Still get air but not cool

I've also been having intermittent issues with the defroster. I get heat but sometimes it only comes out the front dash vents and not the defroster vents and when that happens it doesn't matter what I select it doesn't change, ie switch to floor vents and it still comes out the dash vents. Haven't been able to find a pattern to it, just sometimes the defroster works sometimes it doesn't.

Then today I turned on the heat to de-fog my windshield and of course the defrost didn't kick in but I noticed no air was moving. I could hear a hum under the dash but no air movement. I slowly selected each fan speed with no luck until I got to 4 and after about 10 seconds suddenly air started moving and kept moving at every fan speed.

I don't know if I have one common problem or multiple issues. I haven't done any troubleshooting because I don't even know where to start. From the posts I've read I wonder if the blend door actuator.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

You could have a problem with the actuator motor, but the fact that the fan didn't come on until you got to a higher blower level sort of indicates it might be the blower motor resistor. You should be able to do a search on both and find out where each is located, although it might still be in warranty and can be repaired on Ford's nickel.
