no heat
I am wondering how difficult it is to gain access to the blend door actuator.
I changed the control switch which did not solve the problem.
This problem has been intermitent, now that it is cold , it has become perminent.
Can someone help !

Factory manual says. Remove floor duct panel. Remove RH inst. panel brace. Remove LH inst. panel lower nut and position aside. Remove three bolts and position module aside. Remove floor duct. NOTE Rotate vac. control motor to disconnect the vacuum control rod from the panel/floor door. Remove the panel/floor door vacuum control motor. Remove the electronic blend door actuator.

Thank,s Nitro 94. Yesterday while waiting for a response and out of desperation for heat, I removed fuse #5, the metal prongs of the fuse looked a little dirty so I cleaned them and reinstalled the fuse, started the truck, let warm engine, still no heat.
While the engine was running, I removed the fuse and reistalled it rapidly, and heard the blend door (I think) move and there was heat!
So now what should I do?
Thank,s in advance!

Birchbob, I had the same problem with my heater and I tried the trick with the fuse and it worked like a charm! It was terrible driving to work in the middle of January with no heat. Good Thinkin'

what you should do next:
lift your hood.
find your compressor
check your charge. if when you have the a/c on moisture starts to come out you have a low charge.
you can buy a thing at autozone that will test your charge.
back to the compressor.
let a/c run for about 15 minutes.
there will be 2 metal tubes running from it.
big tube is the high side.
small tube is the low side.
one should be warm to the touch.
other should be cold.
if one is not hot there is something wrong with your evaporator.
yoiu probably fixed the problem with the fuse.
that is always the first step when trouble shooting any type of system.
i never thought that my high school shop class would come in handy.
