A/C Clutch cycling to often...Click,Click,Click
Patman, thanks for the tip. My system was low. The system ran right as soon as I started added freon. I bought the R134a charge kit. Here in California the recalled the older kits and a new type was issued. Now you have to pay a $10 deposit, refundable if the can is returned in 90 days. I bought the taller can, equal to about 2 of the individual cans. My issue was if I don't need the entire amount I either a)wait until I use what i didn't use today in which I'll lose the $10 deposit b) return the can with the unused portion n which case I paid for more than I needed and get my deposit back c) release the remainder into the atmosphere so I return an empty can and get my deposit back. The government never misses a chance to add another fee or tax. The other option is to buy 2 individual cans and pay about $10 more than the single tall can.
Word of warning: In charging the system you need to shake the can. The hose on this kit (I bought it at AutoZone) coupled with the tall can (about 15 inches tall) makes it almost impossiblle to shake the can. The valve cover, refriderant lines and top radiator hose get in the way.
