Replace the clutch hub. Buy a Motorcraft replacement part.

Put the compressor on your work bench and use the proper puller.

3-jaw puller should do it.

The only way a 3-jaw puller will work is to put the compressor on your workbench.

Did you test the coil to see if it worked or not? Using a light piece of steel turn on the ac switch and you should have a magnetic pull on the steel. Was your clutch worn out? Was the bearing on the pulley dragging, burnt?

Quite a hassle removing the compressor. Paying somebody to discharge, then you have to replace the accumulator since the system was open, then paying somebody to recharge. Removing the compressor makes a relatively simple job turn more expensive and complicated than it needs to be.

If there's a clearance issue with using a small 3-jaw puller, the solution is to unbolt the compressor from the bracket, but leave the lines connected. I doubt there'd be a real clearance issue though in a full-size truck after removing the fan and shroud.
