new ac compressor 2000 f150 5.4

I have to replace the compressor, its locked up. Anyone have any input on other parts I should replace along with it? I don't see just a drier on the parts list so I assume the tube kit may be needed to.
Thanks,

For sure dryer and orifice tube. If you got alot of compressor shavings I would consider the condenser or at least a flush of it and the evaporator.

Accumulator (rather than "dryer") and the orifice tube are minimum requirements for a warranty on a replacement compressor.

If the system is going to be opened, I'd also replace all the o-rings in the system.

Guess now I'm confused I look at the parts list @ Tousley ford parts depo., under compressor and it shows a tube set(15) that looks to have a dryer on it, is this what is referred to as accumulator? Mine has it with a charging port on it close to the trans. oil dip stick. Then it shows a dehydrator tank, that on my truck is tucked behind a wiring bracket and looks like hell to get to and has the other charge valve on it. I have no idea where the orifice tube would be or if it is a part of #15. Ford dealer quoted me 1600$ to start. 135$ to just check it out.
Thanks Chris

I thought I had to replace mine recently and the local dealer between Miami and Homestead quoted $1240. I didn't get a list of parts they were going to replace.

If you want to save some money, Napa sells kits that include a new compressor, accumulator, orifice and pag oil. We use those kits at my shop and have had good results so far.
