I was told by a mechanic a few years ago Ford air conditioners get the coldest, and I'm inclined to believe it because the ac in my truck gets pretty cold. Do Ford air conditioners actually blow the coldest air? I have a 2002, are the air conditioners in the newer trucks even better?

 

From doing hundreds of A/C jobs I can honestly say I think a dodge ram will make colder air then an F150. Reason being is they have a seperate electric fan for the condensor and its also not infront of the radiator but next to it. Anything R12 will be colder then the newer R134a but R12 is horrible on the enviroment.

With that said, Ford does make a good A/C system but all are pretty close to being the same as they are all basically the same design with the exception that some use an expansion valve over orfice tube. Also like I said the older R12 units make colder air.
