I just bought an 01 F150 XLT 5.4L truck and the AC controls don't seem to have a back light at night? I checked all the fuses and they seem to be fine. Is it possible this truck just doesn't have back lit AC controls? It seems kinda strange that they wouldn't be lit at night because you can't see them at all? Any way I'm a noob to Fords so any insight on this would be helpful.

The light bulbs are probably burned out.

Pull the control head and check/replace them.
