checking temperature at vents

I was wondering if there was a test to check the temperature of the air as it comes out of the (let's say) AC vents and how hot it should be?
My climate control seems to be functioning properly except for the fact that I just don't think it the air coming out of the vents is as warm as it should be. I know my water is full. Anyone??

BTW, 2004 F150 Lariat, 5.4, auto, 4x4, scab, climate control.

Thanks

Digital meat thermometer in all four dash vents and average.

I have not checked the heat in my '01 Screw but I can't hold the back of my hand in front of them for more than 10 seconds - too hot.

In the summer, I did check the AC and found my temp would cycle from 36 degrees to 42 degrees on flat level road in 95 degree air temp at 65 mph. I was happy.
