Heater not working. Need Help

Alright guys, im sure yall have all gone through this before but i need help. My heater will only blow slightly warm air after the engine has warmed up to normal operating temp. I drove approx. 20 miles today and got out and checked the hoses going into the fire wall. They both seemed relatively close in temp to each other, but neither were scalding hot like i expected. I could hold on to either for a while if i wanted. There is no smell of antifreeze in the cab of the pickup. The ***** all turn fine on the heat/ac controls.

Where do i go from here?

Forgot to add,
2000 F-150, 5.4, XLT
230,000 miles. Never a problem.

Try replacing the thermostat. If the thermostat is stuck open, you'll never get hot water through the heater core.

I had this same problem on my 99. I checked the ***** and they seemed fine, but I gave the **** a little tug outward, and it came out. The **** is attached to another piece which actually adjusts the AC and it just wasnt grabbing. Anyways, good luck!
