Not sure if anyone has posted this on here before and not sure what everyones thoughts are on it but here it is.

Almost positive that my blend door is stuck in the heat position. Have not yet checked the actuator to see if it is working but will get to it when I have time. Was researching the process of how to replace the blend door and found this interesting and easy fix.

Seems you remove the actuator and then the glove box. Cut into the box containing your heater core (careful not to get into the core) and you can then reach in through your glove box compartment into the hole you cut and replace the blend door. Seal the box back up with the plastic you removed and VIOLA!

Curious if anyone has tried it. Seems a whole lot easier than removing your entire dash/other parts or paying about a grand to have someone else do it.

 

Do not order the blend door from ebay it is not a retrofit product you have to pull dash and plenum dox for this door, if you do the retrofit from heatertreater you must buy there blend-door.

 

Good to know. Did not even think about that. The heatertreater door has a removeable pivot rod in it that can be installed through the box. The others don't. Good looking out!
