Hey fellas I own a 08 FX4 and I'm having issues with the climate control. I know my large deisle engines but these new trucks are a totally different language to me. Anyways just today my AC stopped working. Yesterday it worked fine. When I turn the AC **** on (as apposed to off) I can here something "engaging" but no air coming through the vents. The "engaging" noise I sounds like a small electrical motor of sorts moving a clutch or something.

If anybody has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. It sure is a pain in the *** to take my truck to ford and pay 100's (the crafty bastards) when it might be a simple fix.

Just another update on the AC situation. While the truck is running I turn on the AC and there is a whining noise coming from the engine.. sounds like a bad belt or something.

 

I would take to the dealer as its under warranty correct?
