My 2005 KR has the auto air. Twice in the last few weeks with daily A/C operation the screen has gone blank and the system shuts itself off. When I cut it back on it works properly accept the auto mode seems to blow out the foot vents exclusively until I manual shift it to the upper vents then it "remebers". Anyone had anything like this happen?

 

If there was nothing wrong, then the system wouldn't cut off.

Either the head unit is loosing power, the input power is screwy, or the head unit is dying.

 

Fair enough, any ideas how to trouble shoot?

 

I'd start by having the charging system checked to make certain it isn't flaking out.
