Vaccum Leak?

Hello

I have a 94 F150 with a/c and the air blows good and cold, but my problem is when i'm driving down the road around 55mph or faster the a/c will divert from blowing out of the vents pointing at me and start blowing out of the defrost port. BUT, if I let off of the gas it will start blowing out of the vent again. But after I get back on the gas, it starts out of the defroster again. What's wrong and how do I fix it?

My 97 has the same problem. It stops blowing when I am accelerating but starts blowing again when I let off the gas. Hopefully someone can lead us both in the right direction.

Repair the white vacuum line under the R hood hinge by slipping some rubber vacuum hose over the ends to replace the damaged section.

Basically the same, but yours is caused by battery acid; not sunlight.

Thanks. I checked it out today and there is a t fitting right behind the battery and one of the lines is completely rotted in two pieces. Now I just need to figure out where it goes on the other end.
