The plate on the font of the compressor clutch fell off and now my air won't work. There seems to be NOTHING wrong with the compressor plate (not sure what you call it) but would it be ok to just put the plate back on, or is there a bigger problem that possibly caused the plate to come loose????

 

Not sure if yours is the same as mine.The bearing in the a/c clutch went on my truck, and seized right up and would not even let the truck turn over.You can just buy the a/c part with out the who ac compresser on my 97.

 

I ended up just bolting the plate back on and it works like a charm, not sure what happened, guess the bolt just backed out.
