I have a 08 Lariot. I have noticed for the last couple of months (heating up outside) that the auto controls are kinda funky on the AC. Lets say I have it set on 70 and it is 80 degrees outside. The AC blows cold just fine but then it starts switches back and forth between blowing cold, then blowing out heat without the fan speed changing at all. On past vehicles, the fan would decrease as the interior cooled off. I can decrease the temp and it stays cold but it seems anytime the setting is within 6-8 degrees of outside it does the cold/heat thing. Is this normal or something i should get checked out??

I don't know where the inside temp sensor is on your vehicle but alot of times they get filled with dust and can't get an accurate reading of the inside temp making them go a little fritzy. I think there was a TSB on this situation but I'm unsure right now. Might want to check into that.

 

That sounds really weird and that the EATC control is broke or you have an actuator problem. There are actuators that control the Heat Blend door and the fresh air door.

 

My 08 Lariat is doing the exact same thing... anyone get a fix on this?
