I have been reading about the issues that you guys are having with your heater controls. I have a slight twist. I am having the same issue, only with the standard heater controls. I have an '08 FX4 regular cab. Is it the same component that is failing? I have had it into Ford twice. They said that parts are not available. Just so happens that it was the coldest January in 27 years up here. Thanks in advance.

 

I have the standard controls on my '08 and it intermittently will only blow out of the vents. When it's freezing outside your upper body will be hot and your legs will freeze. I took it into the dealer and, of course, it worked perfectly. So far it hasn't acted up again but any input? The advice I've gotten on this truck before has told the dealer how to fix the transmission problems it started having at 2,700 miles.
