EATC in Auto mode-where you getting heat

Quick question for those who have the EATC.
When you get in the vehicle after its sat all night and it finally warms up
to kick the heater on.
Checking all the vents...Where do you get most of the heat blowing out from?

Thanks

It seems like the majority of the heat comes from the floor. But I haven't really paid too much attention.

I think it blows both floor and defroster. Mostly the floor though after it heats up.

Not sure if mine was working correctly, I have had my truck in the shop twice since new for the blend door actuator. So wasnt sure if it was working correctly.

I found that one night coming home all the heat was coming out at the floor and the side windows. Hardly anything coming out the defroster, nothing coming out the rear for the vents for the crewcab section. Just thought this odd, as our feet were roasting, and the GF was cold.

So in the morning. After the truck sat all night. I put it on auto mode and let the truck get warmed up to see if it would do something different then above. Still the same, all the heat at the floor and side window vents. Wouldnt you think that you would get a fair amount at the defrosters, since the truck has a cold/frozen windshield. Then after warming up it would even the heat out elsewhere?
I know hot air rises but still, seems like you should be able to feel a good amount of air coming out the defrosters. Even throwing some heat out the rear vents for the passengers I would think would be part of the "auto climate control" why should the front seat passengers be warmer than the rear seat passengers.

I had a passenger in the back ask me the same thing about no heat. I found you have to put it on the dash vents for the heat to blow in the back. I'm not sure what makes it kick out the defrosters, but I know when the windshield is iced up it melts pretty quickly, so there must be a sensor somewhere.

I paid attention on the way to work this morning and my truck behaves the same way.

The majority of the heat comes from the side window vents and the floor. I could feel very little heat, if any, from the defrost vents, dash vents, or rear passenger vents.

Most of the heat comes out on the floor with a little from the vents that blow on the front side windows, When the heat is on it was never designed for heat to come out of the vents for the rear seat passengers there are heat ducts under both front seats that blow heat to the rear passenger floor
