I pushed on the recirculate button with the defrost, and it would not go, so i went to defrost/floor and it worked... for 5 minutes and turned off, i heard the flapper thing move, look down and lights off, then i turned it back on, and it lasted another 5 minutes... did this 4 times...

on all settings, i get air out of the front vents, i keep them closed, but air still forces it's way out, when turned to vents, it kicks it to full like normal, but it never goes away completely..

a related problem? easy fix?

 

If you read your owners manual you will find out that your climate controls are working correctly, the only way to continuously recirc the air in the cab is to switch the climate controls to "max A/C".
As for the air always blowing out of the dash vents, I dont know of a fix, my 05 does the same thing.

 

You need fresh air for defrost, not recirc. Trust the computer its smart.

 

ok, thats cool, but why are the vents leaking on?

 

My vents leak a little when the air is placed on the floor. Could it be that you have it on defrost and its blowing out of the vents that blow on the side windows?

 

no, it was the 2 center ones.... did not do it yesterday when it was 5* outside though...
