Blend dooor

Just wondering do you have to discharge the aircon. Went to Ford dealership and they told me $800

No, you don't.

$800 is not out of line for a blend door replacement. You can probably get it done at an independent shop for $500 or do it yourself for less than $50 plus a lot of work.
