I was wondering if you guys got any suggestions. This morning, I got home from work and my defrost stayed n. even without the key in. I turned the truck back on and turned off the defrost, then turned it off again. defrost came back on when I turned the truck off. Weird huh?? Well now, I can control the entire climate control, but the key still isnt even in the ignition. I am lost on this. Ive never heard of something like this. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. btw its an elecronic climate control. Dont know if thats helpful info or not.

 

Pull fuse F2.24 from the under-dash fuse box and see if that kills it.

If it's been raining there, you may have water infiltration into the fuse box due to a leaky windshield.

Otherwise, might be a failed ignition switch.

Its only when it rains. I came from work this morning. Had to drive with no wipers. Long ride home. I found it was wet. So youre right. Its the rain. I have sirius satelite radio, and I think the antenna wire that I ran throughthe front windshield weather stripping is making it leak. I guess I better put the antenna somewhere else. Thanks for the help.
