Why is A/C is always on?

2001 4.6L F150. Just noticed my A/C is always on. Doesn't matter what
switch position I have the Function Selector Switch in. Always sub 50F
air coming out. I am able to "blend" in heat, so I'd have to think the
blend door is working correctly. Naturally using "OFF" position does
indeed stop the cold air from blowing in, but any other positon is A/C.

Have you read your owner's manual?

If not, do so.
