How do you tell if the cycling switch is bad?
My 2007 f150 Lariat's A/C sucks big time. When I turn on the air before the cab is even close to being cool and before the vent temp gets down even to 50 degrees my compressor cuts out for 10-15 secs and then comes back on. By that time the vent temp has gone back up to 60-62. Seems like I would never cool a cab that way. It would seem to me that it would not cycle off until the cab was down to the climate control setting I have selected. I can be in the truck after a hot day(cab is 110) and within 10 minutes of driving the compressor is cycling off. I have asked the dealer to check the cycling switch but his response is always, "the pressures are fine so the A/C is fine". Geezums
The cycling switch is designed to open around 22 psi descending and to close again around 45 psi ascending.
If the dealer connected gauges and observed this behavior, then they are correct.

When it cycles off is it normal for the air coming out of the vent to be warm to the feel? My wife's Sable never feels warm when the compressor cycles off before it cycles on again. I am trying to figure out why my truck does that.
