i have a 07 supercrew 5.4 and when i turn my ac on it smells like mold or something i was just wondering if its the cabin air filter...do i have a cabin air filter and how can i get to it. please help...thanks

 

no u do not have a cabin air filter. there is however a drain on the firewall to let moisture in the hvac system to drain out. if this hole is plugged water may be trapped in there. other then that the best thing i can suggest is get the truck hot, roll down the windows and blast the heat for an hour or so. that will get the moisture out of the system.

im sorry...but where exactly is that drain?

 

i dont know the exact location but it should be on the passenger side about 3/4 of the way down. chances are you will only see it from under the truck. if you can see water driping on the ground after driving around with the A/C on for a while its not plugged also.
