bad heater core??
I need some imput on my '97s heater here.
I was driveing it last night and noticed a twinge of coolant in the air.
today no problem or smell untill the 5th trip I had to make.
Now it reaks of coolant and is spewing greasy fog on the windshield.
My first thought is a cracked heater core or a burst line to the core. Does anyone have any other thoughts?
It would figure this would happen when I was leaving to go haul my buddy's Silverado out of the mud and snow he sank it in. Just my luck...

Its a busted heater core and yes you do have to pull the dash. I would also recommend to replace the blend door while you are there because they are very likely to break. Do a search here for plenty of info and pics on both.
