Diagnose my A/C problem... p l e a s e.
An accumulator and Orifice tube is NOT an $850 job,,, The parts are available at EVERY parts store, Motorcraft is Ford too.
Anyway your problem is a $20 part, Go to the parts store and buy a NEW clutch cycling switch. It screws off and may squirt a spit of freon out as the switch is unscrewed, there is a schrader valve in the fitting it screws to on the accumulator, then screw on the new one, plug the wires back in.
The clutch cycling switches can get stuck and act irratic, quit all together, stick open, stick closed, or start working properly for awhile. If it messes up again, its something you can buy and change yourself, its no more difficult that checking tire air pressure.

Those $20.00 dollar parts cost me $190.00. Labor over 3 visits and the initial system check and charge made up the balance. In case you missed it. The work's already been done and the system is working fine.
