Electronic Climate Control System Problem

Something is wrong with my A/C and i have no idea what it is. Dealer said it would take them FOUR days just to get it in to take a look. RIDICULOUS!

Here are the details: The truck is a 2005 supercrew. Right after i bought it, the electronic control module in the dash just stopped working one day. didnt work for about 24 hours, then just magically started operating again. Well now its out again, and has been since friday night (and its still HOT down here in AL!). The lights are on behind the buttons, but the screen doesnt light up at all. There is a strange humming/buzzing noise coming from the unit also. AND, you know how the radio always stays after you turn the vehicle off until you open a door? well, now it just stays on all the time, requiring that i turn it off manually. the dome lights dont work either. im pretty pissed about this, and im paranoid im going to come outside one day and the truck will have burned to the ground from an electrical fire... told the dealership my concerns and they pretended it wasnt their problem even though my truck is still under the 3/36,000 warranty. hoping i can fix it myself so i dont have to go without a truck for 4+ days, but i have no idea where to start... any advice?

Your 3/36 warranty probably includes a loaner vehicle. Take advantage of it, and demand a SIMILAR truck.

If you want to read some about that system, go to the EATC link on this page.
