04 Expedition A/C problems

I own an '01 F-150 and an '04 Expedition. My F150 hasn't had ANY problems with 92k miles. My expedition on the other hand, has had nothing but problems. From front suspension (unable to align), to differential, to A/C, to mouldings, you name it, it's gone bad.

I am very disapointed with the expedition.

One of the big problems I was having was the A/C. It started out with Air blowing from the front defrost vent when A/C was on and moderately heavy (not WOT) acceleration was applied. Then it would switch back and forth during highway driving. Dealer replaced acuator twice, problem not solved but the "banging" sound in the rear lift door went away. Then he repaired/replaced some vacuum hoses, problem finally solved.

Next, was on a trip to Vegas with temps of 120 degrees. Obviously A/C was worthless, on full blast, all I got was warm air (somewhat expected). But the thing that got me was how loud the cooling fans got during mu trip. RPM was the same, just the fans wery VERY VERY loud (very noticible).

Now, this problem has been with me since I bought the car but nobody seems to know what it is. When the car is first started in the morning and the A/C is turned on, a very loud "THUD/CANKING" sound is heard. The dealer does not seem to know what's causing the noise. Any ideas???

AGAIN, I'm very disapointed with my Expedtion. My F150 is solid as a rock. Here's a complete list of problems I've had with the Expedition.
- Unable to align front end. Dealer said a camber kit was needed but will not cover under warranty.
- Gone through 3 rotors and 3 sets of brake pads within 35k miles (TSB)
- Gone through 2 sets of tires within 40k miles
- A/C blowing out of defrost vent
- A/C switching from vent to panel on highway
- A/C makes noise when engaged in morning
- Rear diff replaced for shudder (TSB)
- Both right and left windshield rubber mouldings flew off on freeway. Dealer fixed twice, still falls off.
- Ceiling liner/rubber moulding came off over driver's door
- Sunroof moulding ripped
- Rubber boot around column shifter ripped and came off column
- Light illuminating window controls on driver door went out
- Paint on rear A/C and Radio control bezel peeled off
- Passenger side mirror vibrating, unable to see clearly

There's probably more that I forgot. My wife hates me now because I talked her into getting the Expedition thinking it was a rock like my F-150.

Any ideas about the A/C "thunk" on startup???
