AC low pressure hookup

I think this may be a stupid question, especially since I feel fairly comfortable around engines.

I recently purchased a 2002 Lincoln Blackwood, 5.4L, for the most part it is an F-150. To get to the question, the AC is not working well, mildly colder air when on AC Max. I figured that the R-134A is low. I bought a can of refrigerant with a pressure gauge. The supplied quick connect on the can does not mate up with the line on the passenger side, near the radiator. I assumed this was the low pressure hookup, I looked everywhere else on all the lines and nothing remotely looks like an AC hookup. I thought the hookups are standardized, to keep morons from messing things up.

Am I looking at the correct connection point?

look near the firewall, underneath the condenser. looks kind of like a big can. the port should be underneath, kind of hard to see. should be pointing toward the engine.

They are. It kept you from turning that refrigerant can into an IED since you were trying to hook it to the HIGH side port.

Thanks 2002 wonderboy

I was able to charge the system, the air is cold. I hope it stays that way
