Air temp...

Anyone know what the temperature should be of the air leaving the vent on a 2002 (there abouts) F150 Lariat? On max high that is... sometimes mine doesn't seem to be very cool, but i understand a lot of factors (inside air temp. being recirculated, outside temp, truck moving vs. standing still, etc..)..just curious for a base-line...

on any AC system driving down the road, you like to see temps between 34-40 for a "good system"

Mine shows about 36 at its coldest driving down the road, and can easily jump past 40 when ideling at a light. If you have a cooking thermometor that goes down that far, it makes for an easy way to check the temp, b.c the probe goes back into the AC vent

It should hover around the 40* mark
