Question Max A/C without Recirc? 07 Manual A/C

Hi -
I'm a smoker, and I hate/refuse to run Recirc while I'm smoking in the cab, but I love the extra kick of cooling that comes with Max A/C.
I believe this kick comes from three sources.
- Increased blower speed
- Constant (or increased) compressor run time
- The performance gains from cooling already cooled air

Is there an aftermarket fix, or something I can do to the A/C system or controls (even cutting a wire or something) that will remove the 'autoselect' of the Recirculation feature when on max A/C but still get me the other benefits of selecting Max AC.

Yes, I know this means I give up the performance gains from cooling already cooled air automagically. This is a fair trade for me. I would however like to be able to manually select Recirc both when not on Max A/C and when on it.

In other words... I want to use the Recirc Button, not have it turned on for me just because I want faster fan speed from the air vents.

2007 F150 S/C with Manual A/C Controls.

Thanks

Kevin

You're mistaken about the first 2 items; it only sounds like the blower is going faster because, when the recirc door opens to the cab, you can hear it better. And the compressor has to cycle even MORE often in MAX because of item #3 - there's not enough heat coming into the refrigerant to keep the pressure up.

The ONLY difference between MAX and NORM is the recirc door, so you already have the switch you want.
