I am new to this, and have noticed a lot of posts about a/c, but I can not
figure out what to do because all my a/c will do is blow out the defrost. I dont even know where to look or what to look for. Does anyone know what this will cost to fix. This is a 2003 f150 4.6 v8

Welcome.
Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Check the vacuum line that is just behind the battery. It goes through the fire wall on the right side of the eng. compartment. You may have to look close.

hi dl84, I've got the same problem with my '03 5.4 v8. I'm going to take it in next week to have it checked out and will let you know what I find out about mine. Let us know if you ever found anything out about yours.
