a/c issue

a/c issue

i got a 97 150 scab and my ac isnt very cold and it cant hold a charge my heat psh amazing but the ac feels just like a vent.

leaking lines mayb

but can ne1 give me the real answer

You say you recharge the system and it won't hold? Maybe you added too little or too much, it's possible. I had the same thing, kept cycling every 5 seconds or so, the rad shop guy said he has to charge for an inspection even though the problem was obvious and sure enough it was a bottle low. Ran great after that and it was only 80 bucks here. Compared to the dealer that wanted 1000 bucks to replace the compressor, pulley and clutch because they were "siezing"?

Sounds like compressor failure, have a complete system check.

Who needs their A/C this time of year? I wish I had an engine block heater.

Only if you provide some more detailed information. Your post leaves far too much to the imagination.

Start by focusing more clearly on what is going on.

There's a dozen or so things that could cause a no cooling condition with a AC system. If it can't hold a refrigerent charge, well, gee, that's a really big one...

Take it to a qualified shop for diagnois and repair.
