HELPP...Another no-heat thread..(sorry)

I have a 99 f150 and my heat takes forever to warm up, and when it does warm up the air isn't very warm at all.. i've been reading all the other threads about heat and haven't really come across anything that sounds like mine.. my A/C worked really good in the summer but my heat sucks... I dont think its my heater core because i don't smell any anti freeze in my truck, my coolant is a bit dirty and i was thinking of flushing it hopefully to solve the problem.
does anyone have any ideas for me?

thanks in advance

I am deep into my 1998 F150 no-heat problem, but I don't think dirty antifreeze is your problem. I would start with the cheapest...the thermostat. It is easy to change and costs about 7 bucks. It might not be opening enough to get the full benefit of the heated coolant. If you do it yourself, be sure it is turned right when you seat it....point the radiator mark toward the radiator. After that, I would look at, in price order...the temperature control switch ($15), the blend door motor ($70) and last, the dreaded blend door ($33) but a full days work to install. Hope it is the thermostat!!

It sounds like it is blend door related, either the motor or the door.
