Hello.

The A/C on my 98 F-150 is not cold enough. I have learned from this forum that it is either my refrigerant or the bend door. How would I check to see if the blend door is the cause?

I remember when mine went, it was winter so mostly heat is set to full on temp ****. OK, that's fine till one day it was too hot, so I turned it cooler and no difference, WTF? Thaught it was stupid, brought it in for something, and they said blendor is ****. With that fixed, an a/c top up and the recall about the speed control, a tad over 300 bucks, about 4 hours and everything good again. Mine was stuck to full heat (it seemed) but others act different so I don't know. It does sound like the refrigerant is low, check how often the compressor cycles, alot then probably.
