Compressor not cycling???
First, thanks projectSHO89 for the a/c pdf's!!!
I made it to step C3 and went ahead and replaced the A/C cycling switch because that was cheaper then getting the system pressure tested. The compressor kicks in now and blows out really cold air out of the vents, but it never cycles. I let the truck run for a few minutes and it stayed engaged the whole time. I'm not sure how long it would take for the accumulator/drier to frost over and block passages so i dont want to drive it anywhere yet.
Also is it true that if the system does not have enough pressure in it, then the compressor will not kick in? I'm assuming that since it kicked on and is blowing cold air, that i dont have a leak and there would be no point in getting the pressure tested.
Forgot to add. is it possible i got the cycling switch on to tight? or does it not matter?

If it's hot enough outside, the compressor will never cycle. Typically around 80-85 F or so.
Sounds like you got it fixed. Congrats.
The switch just screws in. If you strip the threads, then you went too tight..
Low refrigerant charge will cause the cycling switch to never close which means the clutch will not engage.
