A/C problem, when gas pedal is pressed

A/C problem, when gas pedal is pressed

Help my ac is diverting from the panel to the top blowers when i press the gas, when i let off it blows thru panel again...any help will be greatly appreciated...

Escort does it too

Wifey's '98 escort does the same thing. I think it is because of a drop in vacuum when the gas pedal is mashed causing the AC and vent dampers to go to a no vac. position. I think my truck has done the same thing a few times. Check for vac leaks.

Yes, I also had a similar problem with my bonneville and found it to be a Vacuum problem. It was a valve under the dash.
