PAG oil is what you want. Avoid mineral oil, mineral oil is for R12 systems and does not play nice with R134a.

The official method of determining how much oil to put in your new compressor is to drain the oil out of the old compressor and measure it. If you got 3-5 ounces out of the old compressor, take that same amount, add two ounces to it and pour that into the compressor. If you got more than five ounces, add that amount only to the compressor. I generally err on the conservative side of how much oil to add; it's always easier to add more later, not so easy to remove if you've got too much. I personally add about 3 ounces to a new compressor, and 1 ounce to a new accumulator.
