Cabin air filters, what's that about?

Do all trucks have the cabin air filters? I've never heard of anyone changing them. My truck is a 2000 F-150 XLT Reg cab flareside 4x4 if that makes any diff. Sometimes I get a funky smell from HVAC and think it may be a culprit, but I did smoke in it for 6 years, maybe the "filter" in question has smoke smell in her. Any thaughts folks?

Yours might, mine does not have one.

2000 F-150 4.2 Reg. Cab Fleetside 4x2. I would call your parts department and have them look it up. Or go to Autozone and use their part number lookup book in the air filter section.

It lists, Air, Oil, Fuel, PCV and Cabin Filter in the book. If you don't have one it won't be in there.

Hope you figure it out
