I've got a 2004 screw with the lariat package. The a/c has a musty, nasty smell after it first kicks on. This only happens if it has sat for a day in the sunlight, and it clears up after the a/c runs for a few seconds. Is there a cabin filter on this truck, and is there a way for it to get wet. seems to me like something is wet and moldy or mildued. Any suggestions??

 

It is caused by a bacteria that grows in the evaperator. It is very common. The dealer has a spray that they put in the air inlet to kill it. I think I have seen this spray for sale somewhere but can't remember where.
