HVAC and mpg
HVAC and mpg
Just wondering, do F-150 waste more gas when the heater or A/C is on or no it does not. Reason I say this is (on the same route I take to work and back)I notice that I waste more gas when the heater is on than when it's off.
Does anyone knows this? Thanks

Supposedly, if the heater or A/C is on and your not driving on a freeway for a long distance, ya you loose mileage. It's a myth people are trying to figure out, even the "MYTHBUSTERS" guys did a test. They I guess said no from what my brother said, but I disagree. My findings: When cruising the city, no accessories gets better mileage. When I go a long way on a freeway and use HVAC, it seems like it improves drastically. But then you run the risk of having too much wind. That's a whole nother factor because I see wind holding open window cars back alot moreso.
