A/C has good preassure reading

A/C has good preassure reading when I did a preasure reading on my dad's 2000 F150 with a 5.4L engine. The lower pipe was cold and the upper was warm. The reading on the gauge was in range but no cold air was blowing out the vents, just warm air. Could it be the vent doors are stuck? My dad took it to a Goodyear mechanic garage and they told him it was the canister had a leak. I said what? If I just checked the preassure and it was in range. I do not know if they want to rip my dad off or what. But I check it twice. The clutch also engages when I turn on the AC. Any body know if it could be the canister leaking or just some simpler than that.

What were the actual low and high side pressure readings?

The blend door can be checked by adjusting the TEMP **** and observing the outlet temperature. It will be very obvious if it isn't working.

"Canister leaking" - that's a good one...... Go to a known reputable shop. Get recommendations from friends and familiy members. That guy must have had a boat payment due.
