AC fan?

My AC recently started making a funny sound when turned on. Is there a fan under the dash inside the cab? If so I think I have some what maybe foam hitting it, dunno thats all I can think of. The AC/Heater both work fine, but something is hitting a fan and it sounds like its in the cab. If there is a fan how do I get to it? Thanks for any help. 2001 F-150

Look upward from the passenger's side under the dash. There's your fan.

Sometimes, trash or debris is pulled into the blower, usually when the recirc door is open, and makes an annoying noise is produced when the blower runs.

@Corpsie
bingo! Thanks found it, now how do I get her out of there?Doesn't look as though there is enough room to drop the motor out. Does this require removing the dash. Sure hope that theres an easier way.

@projectSHO89
This blower is also the fan?(sorry not certain on the part names)

Thanks guys so much for your help. I want to get this fixed before it gets to hot, but I want to try and do it myself. This way I can learn to fix it again or help someone else down the road.

Yes, the blower is the fan, etc..

You may have to take out the glove box. The fan is positioned to be taken out without much extra effort, just remove the screws holding it in, and it'll drop.
