Fan stopped blowing?
Fan stopped blowing?
I got in my '02 F-150 after my sons baseball game today - and the A/C fan wouldn't blow. I can feel cold air coming thru - but the fan is dead.
Anyone have a hint where I should start? I'm guessing the fuse in the Power Dist. Box... anything else I should check?
Thanks, Chad

Check:
Fuse F24 in underdash fusebox (10A)
40A fuse underhood fusebox (#105)
Blower Relay - above gas pedal under dash
Open resistor pack (in dash) (has an internal thermal fuse)
Faulty fan speed switch
If you have a meter, gain accecss to the blower motor connect and measure DC voltage at both pins with the ignition in RUN and the HVAC system ON.
If you measure battery voltage at both terminals, go for the last two items on the list.
If you measure no voltage at the terminals, go for the first three items.
There's a couple other things, but these are the most likely.

Another "safe" ford idea. They put a 40 amp fuse to feed the 30 amp relay? Last edited by whotnow; Mar 16, 2006 at 11:41 AM.
