Tricks to getting at the orifice?
Hey - I'm sure this is someplace within the posts, but I'm trying to get this out there on my lunch hour... so anyway
This started over the summer, and it's recurrance is starting to hinder the abilities of my defroster to work properly - engage the AC (or anything that runs the compressor) and the comp will engage for a little while, until the low side charges and then the pressure cutoff kills the compressor. If I vent the low side, I can get the comp to re-engage for a little bit...
I backprobed and tested the pressure sensor and whatnot, and am beginning to believe it's either a plugged condensor, or more appropriately a plugged orifice... they're cheap, but I can't figure out how to get at it? It appears to be behind the passenger side airbag module against the interior firewall, but is there a way to get at this thing without pulling apart the entire dash?
HELP!! (But thanks in advance!!)
Jay
